mguit3I've been trying to play chess, I had no problems a while ago, and now I get a box that appears after putting in those mixed up letter & number, and says " can't open because of 1 of 4 reasons: stale cache page ,server is down, not connected to the internet and behind a firewall. I've checked all of them and when I clear the cache it works....sometimes. I go thru it every time I want to play a friggin game. Any game! Why?

Hi there and thanks for your question. The Yahoo servers have been very unstable in many respects lately. Everything from Yahoo Messenger to games have been having problems.

This isn't a problem I've heard of, but when you clear your cache - are you doing this by using the cleanup in your browser? If so, try clearing your Java cache instead. A good way to thorough clean out all your temp files in one fell swoop is to use ATF Cleaner - it includes your Java files as well which many other cleaners may not do.

Also, make sure you have the latest stable version of Java on your machine.

I'd think it's likely a Java issue or a server side issue (the cure for which is just to wait it out). Best of luck with it though! I know how frustrating it is when games won't work!!

There can be many reasons you are unable to play games. I'd need to know more about what happened to your computer to give any opinions.
