Link to Me (or any other site) Box - Tutorial

by patndoris on Jan.17, 2009,under Code Snippets

Fancy images and graphics abound. Virtually every page you see these days is smattered with graphics links, banner ads or dynamic content changing boxes. Let me be clear - I have nothing against any of these forms of advertising. What I don’t care for is the pages I see where more than half the page is made up of such flashy advertising. Or worse, pages where the advertising takes over the content and I can’t even discern where the information I’m trying to locate resides on the page. Sure, having links is important. It drives traffic and can generate revenue. But it can also become overwhelming.

...

Are you prepared? I’m going to hypnotize you now. (Can you envision the shiny golden pendulum and hear the monotone voice?)
…You are getting very sleepy…
…Your eyes are getting heavy…
…but not heavy enough to stop reading…
…You are compelled to continue on…
…to find out what the heck I’m going to write about…
…You are moving back in time when simplicity was fine on web pages…
…You are about to learn how to create a simple textual box link…

Here’s the code. Feel free to link to me (oh my pursuit of free advertising and increasing traffic is shameless!), or change this to create a link you’d like to use on your own site/blog.

So you can see how easy it is to change, look at this code:

YOUR TEXT CAN GO HERE
YOURSITEHERE.com

See, you can have a text link that’s not boring and that you can customize to suit your fancy!
