Know the coupon policy where you shop (before you go)!

Twice now, cashiers at Target have attempted to thwart my seriously money saving use of coupons.
The first time it was “I can only accept one coupon per item.” Not so grasshopper! The official policy says I can use one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon per item. Today I was informed they don’t accept Internet coupons. Wrong again!
I read somewhere to print out the official coupon policy for each store I was going to frequent. I must say it is great advice! Each time the cashier has attempted to limit my coupon use I have offered to show them a copy of the official Target coupon policy (available online at target.com). Both times they have declined to see it and have sullenly scanned the coupons off my order.
I have to wonder if it’s the store management or Target directives to discourage customers from using coupons. Either way, being fully knowledgable about the policies has saved me lots of money both times. It pays to print and carry the coupon policies with you.
