In my opinion, it's NOT old school. It's the best way to keep up with what one needs to! (IT Guy feels one by one visitation of websites is more effective. I disagree.)

Okay, so if RSS is old school, what replaced it?

Congrats, Doris. The pleasure you get from solving and taming those malware beasties far outweighs any monetary gains. And I have always believed that if you spread kindness around, it willreturn to you.

Everyone has their own preferences. There's nothing wrong with sticking with the operating system you like for as long as it's practical.

what i don't like about Windows 7

1) no right-click > explore
2) no classic start menu
3) never been able to safely remove my usb drives (tried different PCs with same results)
4) by default, the graphics performance is set to "medium" (I use Professional version)
5) video playback choppy on slower on my intel atom. I've set graphics to high, updated to latest drivers, used VLC, used Klite + CoreAVC

That happens to most of us sometime in our blogging lives...I mean I've had it once too often: "What am I gonna blog about?" "Will my readers consider this useless drivel?" For me, I find that just taking a break and going for my usual walk or swim clears my jumbled mind up. And I swear I should take up something like Yoga, but you know me, always putting things off!

I did disable comments for several days while I did a bit more digging. I found most of my spam was as a result of trackbacks being allowed as a part of the comments. So, after a few days of no spammy email (which was glorious) I re-enabled comments minus the ability to do trackbacks and *fingers crossed* so far so good.

Feedbackability...I'm impressed! I like that!!

Huh ? I thought you'd disabled feedbackability ? (And this browser spellcheck thingie can go take a running jump - that IS a word, even if I DID just invent it myself.)

Just wanna say - again!? - that your literary style is glorious - I love reading it! :-))

Doris, I've had Win 7 Home Premium on my Dell laptop coming to two weeks now. So far so good, no BSOD's, touch wood. Only minor glitch is that I've experienced the audio drivers not loading up during startup (rare, but it has happened) One quick reboot fixes it, but I might have to search the Dell website for a more recent driver.
